New work, fresh from today April the 27th! Ink and color ink on sumi-e paper (ricepaper). I’m really getting the hang of the ricepaper now, I used to go ARGHH UGHHHH when painting on ricepaper before but now I sound more AHA so that’s always something haha
The original does not have the same amout of detail or rainbow-flare, I added some fun details digitally because why not, it’s a brand new world of merging techniques isn’t it?
I took some time off yesterday to put together snippets of my work in a new portfolio that will be sent out.
Coming weeks will be quite booked with freelance but more updates will come next month, not sure which project though as I’m drifting between putting together existing work and creating new, a little depending on my mood that day. I enjoy variety.
The coloringbook is completed but I decided to reach out to publishers before self-publishing it, just to see if anyone would be interested. I realize my style is quite different and although that is the reason why it will sell it’s also a reason why not everyone will throw themselves at the opportunity to publish it.
So either I find “the right publisher” or I go solo, but no matter the outcome I’ll keep you updated once I know more!
Photoshop Tutorial-International Artist Feature: Sweden
I hope you will like the interview, the question was how Sweden has made an impact on my work. When thinking about it, I came to my conclusion that our childhood and the environment we grow up in greatly impact us, as in reference points, places where we’ve come to be inspired or situations that frightened us. It all matters, to some degree, even if we find inspiration from elsewhere in the world later in life. At least that’s the case for me.
